About this service
Friends of the Katy Trail is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates and maintains the Katy Trail for the benefit of Dallas citizens and tourists. The trail is a community-funded greenbelt park built on an abandoned Union Pacific railroad line that serves as a destination for exercise, recreation, community connection, and alternative transportation. Services: maintain the Katy Trail; enhance the Katy Trail; advocate for the Katy Trail; provide lighting; plant trees and blooming plants; maintain park water; provide drinking fountains; daily security patrols.
