YOUTH & FAMILY COUNSELING SERVICES strengthens and supports families in Brazoria, Wharton, and Matagorda County through counseling, case management, and educational services to prevent child abuse, neglect, and delinquency. The organization provides free or low-cost counseling and support for children, adolescents, and families, including crisis intervention, parenting classes, and specialized programs for at-risk youth and victims of crime. Services: preventing child abuse, neglect and delinquency through counseling, case management and educational services; education to the community; training for Daycare centers, educators, mental health professionals, families, and other paraprofessionals; Resource Program classes for parents; For Kids’ Sake parenting classes; Counseling for children and families; 24-hour crisis intervention, counseling, case management, community resources, education services and life skills training; Counseling for Victims of Crime; Daycare training; Parenting skills training for adults and teens; Workshops, speakers, classes, and in-services training for area professionals; Other prevention education programs such as Shaken Baby Syndrome; Counseling for Individuals affected by the pandemic (CRP).
