Dashboards and funder share links
Charts of your grants, referrals and form data, for your staff, your board and your funders. Dashboards show totals only, never a person’s record. Part of membership.
Make a dashboard
- Open Dashboards and choose New dashboard, or pick one under Start from a ready-made dashboard and choose Use this one.
- Choose Edit dashboard, then Add a chart.
- Pick the data: Grants, Referrals and outcomes, or Form or spreadsheet data.
- Pick what to count, how to group it (stage, month, funder, need, outcome and so on), the time period, and the chart type: a single number, bars, a line over time, stacked bars, a ring of parts or a table.
Written answers are never charted. Counts under 5 of referrals or client records show as “<5”, so no one can be picked out from a small number.
Who sees it
Under Who can see it, choose which roles see the dashboard. Board members use the Reporter role: they can view and export, never change anything, and their seat isn’t charged.
Any dashboard can be printed or saved as a PDF with Print or save as PDF, or downloaded with Download Excel. Show the numbers puts the figures behind each chart in a table.
Share with a funder
A share link lets a funder see a dashboard’s charts and totals without signing in.
- Open the dashboard and find Share with a funder.
- Under Who it is for, write who the link is for, such as the foundation’s name. Only your organization sees this label.
- Pick the date it Works until. It’s set 90 days ahead unless you change it.
- Choose Make link and copy it straight away. For safety it’s shown only once.
The funder sees totals only, with the same “<5” rule, and the date the data is from. The link never shows a record or a name. It stops working on its end date, or as soon as you choose Revoke. Each link shows how many times it’s been viewed and when it was last opened.
Lost the link before you sent it? Revoke it and make a new one.
