The Blue Bird Auxiliary serves seven hospital campuses throughout the Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio, Texas. Volunteers provide support to patients, families, medical staff, and administrative personnel through various roles including patient interaction, clerical tasks, and specialized programs like Pet Therapy and Baby Cuddling. Services: Patient contact; Clerical assignments; Sewing at home; Committee work; Information Desk; Patient Escort/Transport; Gift Shop; Adult Emergency Room; Newborn Intensive Care; Pediatrics/Child Life; Floor Duty; Sewing Committee; Surgery Waiting Room; Pet Therapy; Baby Cuddler.
