Communities In Schools of Laredo helps at-risk students improve in academics, attendance and/or behavior, encouraging more students to stay in school, graduate and prepare for post-secondary life. The organization serves 25 partner schools across Laredo, United, and Zapata ISDs. Services: Supportive Guidance & Counseling; Health & Human Services; Parent & Family Engagement; College & Career Awareness; Enrichment Activities; Academic Support; Tutoring; Homework support; College and career preparation; Mentoring; Drug and gang prevention; Peer pressure, self-esteem and anger management support; Community agency referrals; Volunteer hours.
